Evolve Spotlight: Our COO
In 2023, we welcomed Michael Spafford to the team as Evolve’s COO. For over 33 years, Michael has been involved in the construction of multi-family projects in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. His experience working with companies to help identify and execute points for growth is part of what brought him onto our radar.
Before his COO role at Evolve, Michael helped a small contractor firm grow and re-establish themselves following a lapse in successorship. His eye-catching work immediately grabbed Evolve’s attention. Because Evolve is a company always looking for ways to improve our work and structure, Michael’s eye for finding areas of growth was something we knew we wanted.
Ready to grow at Evolve
Michael spent his first few months as Evolve’s COO observing our procedures. From there, he developed our Operational Solutions Plan. After diving into the challenges Michael identified and solutions he presented, we knew we were ready to grow.
Our biggest priority at Evolve became expanding our team. To ensure each member of our team can focus on their strengths and specialized tasks, we’re implementing the plan Michael drew up to recruit and hire new staff members. Since November 2023, Evolve has hired 25+ new employees to multiple projects. This has immensely improved the quality of our work, our community, and the communities we are so proud to be involved in!
We’re grateful to Michael for being the (r)evolutionary COO that he is, and we’re excited to see what he does next at Evolve!
